The US Congress, in its desire for a safer boat for the US Navy, contracted Stanley to design and build a rotationally molded 7 meter craft using his patented "kiss-off" design (US Patent No. 6,460,478). Computer modeled Finite Element Simulations have demonstrated reduced G-Forces on the occupants due to the ability of the HDXLPE material and kiss-off design to absorb impacts. HDXLPE is short for High Density Cross Linked Poly Ethylene. It has added benefits of high abrasion resistance, it does not break like fiberglass, it does not bend like aluminum, it's density is lighter than water (will not sink), refusal to "zipper" (because of its crosslinked bond), some resilience to small arms fire, and extremely cost effective manufacturing. The following is a pictorial of his progress.
